Adolph Yanskey Obituary

ADOLPH YANSKEY, a lifelong resident of Pacific, Missouri passed away on January 3, 1962 at the age of 62.


Mr. Yanskey was born on November 10,1898 and attended St. Bridget’s school here.


In 1922 he was united in marriage to Gertrude Tiemann, who preceded him in death.  To this union, two children were born, a son, Norbert of St. Ann, Missouri, and a daughter, Juanita Campbell of Waukegan, Illinois.


In January 1917, Mr. Yanskey began a career with the Missouri Pacific Railroad, which was to span 45 years, the last twenty years of which he served as a regular passenger conductor.


Tor the past 5 years, he was the regular conductor on the Pacific “Plug.”  To these passengers, his co-workers and his many other friends, he was affectionately known as “Dolph.”


He was an active member of the Pacific Lions Club.


He is survived by his wife Gladys, a son, a daughter, three brothers, John A. of Jefferson City, Missouri, Samuel J. of St. Louis, Missouri, and Dr. Francis A. of St. James, Missouri, two sisters, Elizabeth Sanchez of El Paso, Texas, and Lillian Scott of New Athens, Illinois, 8 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends.


He will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father, an affectionate brother, and a dependable friend.
