ARTHUR L. SCHREIBER SR., of Villa Ridge, Missouri, passed away March 16, 2000 at St. John’s Mercy Hospital at the age of 67 years. Born June 11, 1932 in St. Louis, Missouri. He was one of four children born to Arthur and Hilda (nee Hoenig) Schreiber. Arthur is preceded in by both his parents; and a brother, Eugene T. Schreiber.
He is survived by his wife Sherry L (nee Bailey) Shreiber; his son Arthur Schreiber Jr. and wife Debbie of Villa Ridge, Missouri, two daughters, Barbara Manns and husband, John of Villa Ridge, Missouri, AND Diana Schreiber of Gray Summit, Missouri; step-children, Deanne Richardson of Ohio, Dwayne Richardson of Virginia, Mitzi Lovitt and husband Robert of Georgia, Linda Adams of Gray Summit, Missouri, June Sablock and husband Mark of Georgia; two sisters, Irene Thrasher and husband Wayne, and Hazel Fletcher and husband Richard; his ex-wife Dorothy Schreiber; sixteen grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives; and a host of friends.
Arthur proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, during the Korean Conflict. He retired after driving over a number of years as an “Over the Road Truck Driver.” He grew up in the St. Louis area, attending school in this area. He loved Boats, air planes, and was an active pilot for over thirty years, and plying golf. Arthur or “Louie” as he was known also loved to fish, and enjoyed time spent with his family.
Visitation for Mr. Schrieber is Saturday, March 18, 2000, from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Bell Funeral Home, Pacific, Missouri. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home, with Reveral John James, officiating. Private interment is in the Atlantic Ocean.
