BETTY JEAN COVINGTON (nee Hoven), Pacific, passed away September 20, 2015 at the age of 86. Mrs. Covington was born December 28, 1928 in Jennings, Missouri to Fred and Inez (nee Michael) Hoven. She was preceded in death by both of her parents and three brothers, Fred Hoven, Don Hoven and David Hoven and one sister, Patsy Hirth.
Betty was married to James Covington on October 19, 1952 in Pacific, Missouri. In addition to her husband, James, she is survived by three children, Steve and wife Carolyn Covington, Pacific, Donna Covington and husband Jess Ullom, Wildwood and John and wife Amy Covington, New Haven. She is also survived by two sisters, Joan and husband Lyman Smith, Pacific and Nancy and husband Carl Sturm, Mentor Ohio, one brother, Bobby and wife Mary Hoven, Salem, 10 grandchildren, Shane Covington, Hollie and husband Jason Hanneke, Amy and husband Jason Taylor, Jamie Worth, Jason and wife Lindsey Ullom, Jordan Ullom, Justin Ullom, Taylor Covington, Brooklyn Covington and Natalie Covington and eight great grandchildren
Visitation for Mrs. Covington is Saturday, September 26, 2015 from 10:00 A.M. until noon at Bell Funeral Home, Pacific.
In lieu of flowers the Family has requested memorials to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
