BOYD C. THOMPSON of Pacific, Missouri, passed away Monday, May 6, 1978 after a brief illness in St. Francis Hospital  in Washington, Missouri in his 63rd year.  He was born at Collinwood, Tennessee on May 10, 1914.  He is survived by his wife, Wanda F. (nee Scott) of the home;  children, Timothy and Lisa Thompson of the home, Rhonda Harkey of Tennessee, Steve and Therion Thompson of Tennessee, Marilyn, Donny and Jeff Scoot and Randy Allen of the home; four grandchildren, Jeff, Amy, Heather and Chasity;  four brothers, Floyd, Maynard, and Moble of Collinswood, Tennessee, and Lloyd of Florida;  four sisters, Bertha Daniels, Lydia Brewer and Nell Simmons of  Tennessee and Bessie Brewer of Florida.  He is preceded in death by his parents, James M. and Sarah M. (nee Daniels) Thompson; and a sister, Maude Melton.

Mr. Thompson was in state at Bell Funeral Home, Pacific, Missouri on Tuesday, May 9, 1978 and was taken to the Middle Tennessee Funeral Home at Collinwood, Tennessee, where he laid in state Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, May 10, 11, and 12, 1978.  Funeral services were held Friday, May 12, 1978 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Bob Newton officiating.  Interment was in the Memorial Garden Cemetery in Collinwood, Tennessee.

Mr. Thompson was a World War II Veteran and had been employed at Chrysler Corporation for the last 14 years.
