BRENDA KAY SHORT (nee Wood), of Pacific, Missouri, passed away February 4, 2025 at the age of 82 years, 9 months and 13 days.  Mrs. Short was born April 22, 1942 in Paragould, Arkansas to Lester Everett and Edith Mae (nee Brewer) Wood. She was preceded in death by both of her parents;  three brothers, Lester Wood, Jr., Bill Wood and Frank Wood; and two sisters, Ramona Myers and Linda Aycock.

Brenda is survived by her Husband Robert "Bob" Short; her sons, Rob and wife Dana Short, and David and wife Niki Short;  five grandchildren, Shonna, Chelsee, Campbell, Ryan and Harley; three great-grandchildren, Jaxson, Sebastian and Seraphine;  nieces, nephews other relatives and a host of friends.

Mrs. Short attended the Pacific Assembly of God Church until her health didn't allow.  She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, square dancing, Bible Study, Girls in Action with Pacific Baptist Church, Room Mother for her two sons when they were young, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.

Visitation for Mrs. Short is Monday, February 10, 2025 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Bell Funeral Home, Pacific, Missouri.  Funeral services are Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Reverend Harold Harrison officiating.  Interment is in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, Jefferson Barracks, Missouri.
