Carolyn (Hollandsworth) Roberts Obituary

CAROLYN ROBERTS (nee Hollandsworth), of Union, Missouri passed away April 3, 2002 in her 58th year.  Ms. Roberts was born April 27, 1943 in Camdenton, Missouri to Hobart and Renee (Robinett) Hollandsworth.  She was preceded in death by both of her parents, one brother, Jim Hollandsworth, and four sisters, Velma Rodgers, Ruby Israelson, Judy Robbins, and Ruth Moore.  Carolyn is survived by three children, Lloyd and wife Tonya Roberts, Villa Ridge, Missouri, Angela S. Roberts, St. Clair, Missouri, and Joseph Keeler, St. Clair, Missouri;  She is also survived by five brothers, William and wife Mary Jane Hollandsworth, Robert and wife Ruby Hollandsworth, Joe and wife Marie Hollandsworth, Kenneth Dale and wife Pat Hollandsworth, Harold Hollandsworth; 7 grandchildren; and her longtime companion, Roy Bigley.

Carolyn love to grow roses, sew, crochet, build doll houses and also enjoyed all types of crafts.  She loved being with her family and especially enjoyed her grandchildren.  She was the caregiver for her entire family and many others she took into her home.  Carolyn was awarded Mother of the Year Award in 1988 and during those honors, had lunch with Governor John Ashcroft.

Visitation for Ms. Roberts is Sunday, April 7, 2002 from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. with funeral services Monday, April 8, 2002, 2:00 P.M. at Bell Funeral Home, Pacific, Missouri, with Reverend Dan Stratmann officiating.  Interment is in Midlawn Memorial Garden, Union, Missouri.
