In Loving Memory of Dennis Joe Vaughan
February 27, 1950 – June 19, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected but peaceful passing of Dennis on June 19, 2025, at the age of 75.

Born on February 27, 1950, Dennis grew up in Overland, Missouri, and was a graduate of Ritenour High School, where he formed lifelong friendships and found a passion for the things he loved most: drag racing, football, and visiting with friends in the boonies. Dennis was the beloved son of Maxine (Greenlee) and Leonard Vaughan, and a cherished brother to Rick (Sib) Vaughan, Terri Vaughan, and the late Sandy Wordan. 

He was a devoted husband to Sandra Vaughan, father to Matt Vaughan (Shanice), and a loving bonus Dad to Timi Mason, Brian (Shelly), Craig (Monica), Teddy (Paula), Shawn (Stephanie), Moore & Dawn (Darrel) Wood. He had a heart as big as his smile, and he took great pride in his family, always showing up with warmth, humor, and unwavering support.

Denny will always be remembered as a true God-fearing, genuine, kind-hearted, gentle-spirited, dog, cat, horse-loving, help anyone in need, sweet & loving man. We will miss his sense of humor, quick wit, nicknames for most, and his sweet presence. He lived a simple but meaningful life that taught us the profound meaning of unconditional love. He loved and adored his wife, all of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and they loved him. His legacy will live on in the memories we share, and the laughter and love he gave so freely with those lucky enough to know him. He is deeply missed, forever loved, and will never be forgotten.

A celebration of life will be held at Mission Community Church in Pacific, Mo, on June 28, 2025, at 10:30
