Donald Louis Bruns

DONALD LOUIS BRUNS, of Union, Missouri passed away November 16, 2024 at the age of 89 years, 5 months, 16 days.  Mr. Bruns was born May 31, 1935 in Washington, Missouri to Louis and Presilla (nee Miles) Bruns.  Mr. Bruns was united in marriage to Dormalee Cristina Whitaker on May 2, 1959 at Central Baptist Church in Eureka, Missouri.  He is preceded in death by both his parents; and one daughter, Michele (nee Bruns) Beahm.

In addition to his wife, Dormalee, Mr. Bruns is survived by three children, Jeanne (nee Schreiber) Hanneke, Donna (nee Schreiber) Sisler and husband Michael, and Robert and wife Jodi Bruns; one sister, Kathleen (nee Bruns) Fischer; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relative and many friends.

Mr. Bruns proudly served his country in the United States Army.  He was a member of The Ridge Church in Villa Ridge, Missouri; and Masonic Fraternal Lodge #363 AF & AM, Robertsville, Missouri.  

He enjoyed reading, especially the newspaper, spending time at church (cooking in the kitchen), and time spent on the Bruns Family Farm.

Visitation for Mr. Bruns is Thursday, November 21, 2024 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Bell Funeral Home, Pacific, Missouri.  Masonic services will be held at 7:00 P.M.  Visitation will also be held Friday, November 22, 2024, from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at The Ridge, Church, Villa Ridge, Missouri.  Funeral services will follow the visitation at 11:00 A.M. at the church, with Pastor Roger Johnson officiating.  Interment is in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Robertsville, Missouri.
