EUGENE LOUIS SCHULTE JR., of Pacific, Missouri, passed away peacefully September 15, 2024 at the age of 91 years, 4 months, and 21 days. Mr. Schulte was born April 17, 1933 in St. Louis, Missouri to Eugene Louis Sr. and Grace Mildred (nee Gerock) Schulte.

Eugene grew up on Chouteau Avenue, in St. Louis, Missouri. Later the family moved to Ferguson, Missouri. While a teenager, Eugene won the park naming contest of January Wabash Park in Ferguson and still has the prize of a lifetime pool pass.

Eugene graduated high school in 1952 and went to Parks Aeronautical College and graduated with a degree in engineering. He married Anna Louise Seip of Centralia, Illinois, and they had three children.

He is preceded in death by his dear grandson Alan Michael Schulte. He is survived by his children, Frederick Louis Schulte, Catherine Ann Baker and spouse Steve, and Michael Eugene Schulte; dear grandchildren Dustin William Baker, Allison Marie Schulte, and Claire Louise Schulte; sweet greatgrandchildren Benny and Raegan; and dear brother David Gerock Schulte of O'Fallon, Missouri.

Eugene proudly worked for companies Lockheed, Boeing, McDonald Douglas and Bell Helicopter in the states, Missouri, Kansas, Tennessee, Washington, and Texas. He also worked for Bergen Built in Illinois where he proudly developed forms that designed the Washington D.C. Metro Dome.  

Eugene had many interests and hobbies which include aerospace related research, training bird dogs for hunting, collecting antiques and old prints as he had a passion for world history. He enjoyed book clubs, writing poems and essays, some published and some under the pen name Jack Crater.

Memorial Visitation for Mr. Schulte is Friday, September 27, 2024 from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Bell Funeral Home, Pacific, Missouri. A Memorial Service will follow the visitation at 6:00 P.M. with Pastor Greg Sitton officiating.
