Frances I. (Wear) Owen

Frances Irene Owen, aged 93, passed away on October 30, 2024, in Pacific, Missouri. Born on July 6, 1931, Frances dedicated many years of her life to United Van Lines before her retirement.

Frances was a long-standing member of the First Baptist Church of Gray Summit. Her commitment to faith and community was evident in her participation and service.

She leaves behind a loving family, including her son Joseph McDermott and his wife Debbie; grandchildren Joey, Denny, and Christy; granddaughter Sharon and her husband John Lammert; great-granddaughter Julia; daughter Patricia and her husband Rod Randolph; daughter-in-law Peggy McDermott; nephews John and Jim Frish, along with many other cherished family members and friends. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, John and Maxine Wear; her son, Robert McDermott; and her sister, Laura Hischier.

Services to honor Frances's life will be held at Bell Funeral Home, located at 709 W. Union Street, Pacific, Missouri, 63069. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association, in memory of Frances Owen.
