Geneva Ola (VanHuss) McFarland

GENEVA OLA McFARLAND (nee VanHuss), of Robertsville, Missouri passed away March 8, 2026 at the age of 84 years and 19 days.  Mrs. McFarland was born February 15, 1942 in Bakersfield, California to Elijah and Nanny (nee Gunn) VanHuss.  She was preceded in death by both her parents; her granddaughter, Kaylee Mitchell and her son-in-law Thurman Mitchell.

Mrs. McFarland is survived by her children, Janice and husband Gary Burkhead, Debbie Mitchell, and Gary and wife Danielle McFarland; four grandchildren, Robert McFarland, Jessica Kroner, Jason Kroner, and Precious Mitchell; 5 great-grandchildren, Damien Kroner, Maci McFarland, Joslynn Kroner, Annabelle Hollingshead, and Kaden Hollingshead; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Geneva was a longtime (40 year) member of the Pacific Eagles Lady’s Auxiliary and served as President in 1984-1985.  She loved to read, scary/spooky things and camping.  She loved her beer (especially Miller Lite – preferable in a can) and a shot of “Hot Damn”.

Visitation for Mrs. McFarland is Wednesday, March 11, 2026 from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Bell Funeral Home, Pacific, Missouri.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 12, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Pastor David Lange officiating.  Interment is in Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Pacific, Missouri.
