Geoffrey Nicholas Sater was born on April 29, 1975, to Harold and Donna Sater and departed this life on December 23, 2023.
After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He excelled in the service and was recognized for his distinguished ability in marksmanship. Following his honorable discharge, he served in the reserves for four years. He was a journeyman iron worker for Local 396. On February 11, 2003, he welcomed his proudest accomplishment, his son, Nicholas Alexander Sater. Geoffrey is survived by his father, Harold, son, Nicholas (Gabrielle Snyder), his brother, Nathaniel (Sabra Schaedler), sister, Emily (William) Devine, and nephews William, Andrew, and Maximilian Devine, godmother Sandy Wilson, and godfather Timothy Pirano, as well as numerous special aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Donna.
Geoffrey had many talents. He enjoyed working on cars and motorcycles. He was musically inclined and could play the guitar and piano. He enjoyed many genres of music. One of Geoff’s favorite pieces of music to play was the third movement of Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata. He was an outdoor adventurer and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Geoffrey was well versed in many subjects and had an exceptional memory. He was outgoing, personable, never met a stranger, and had a sharp wit and uncanny sense of humor. Geoffrey is loved. Geoffrey will be missed.
