Georgia Ann (Murray) Weggenmann Obituary

Georgia Ann Weggenmann (nee Murray), age 71, of Eureka, Missouri, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2026. She was born on June 24, 1954, in St. Louis, Missouri, to George and Anna (nee Greenlee) Murray. Part of Georgia’s childhood was spent in San Diego, California, a place she always held close to her heart. In 2025, Georgia and her daughter, Heather, shared a special  trip to San Diego, revisiting cherished memories from her early years.

Georgia was united in marriage to James “Jim” Weggenmann on June 18, 1983 at the Fenton Church of Christ. Georgia and Jim shared 42 years together, enjoying a life rich in faith, family, travel, and time spent together. They visited places such as Paris, Alaska, Colorado, and California, and also enjoyed going to movies, dining out, and spending time at their property in Gerald, Missouri.

Georgia spent her career in various industries including insurance to real estate and health care. She retired from the Mercy David C. Pratt Cancer Center in 2019. In retirement, Georgia continued giving to her community by volunteering at the Tri County Senior Center in Pacific, Missouri, where she found joy in serving others.  Georgia was a woman of deep faith and a devoted member of both the Fenton Church of Christ and the Pacific Church of Christ. She found great fulfillment in her spiritual life, spending time in daily devotions, Bible study, and fellowship with her church family.

Georgia treasured time spent with her family and found great joy in life’s simple and meaningful moments. She especially loved boating at Lake Timberline, where she proudly took on the role of co-pilot and even joined in tubing with her family. She also enjoyed traveling, particularly trips to North Carolina and Florida with her extended family, creating many cherished memories together.

Throughout her life, Georgia was incredibly selfless and always put the needs of others before her own. She had a special way of making people feel seen and valued. Georgia was a loyal and true friend, maintaining close relationships throughout her life, with some friendships lasting nearly 60 years. Her warmth was genuine and unmistakable. Georgia had a way of lighting up any room with her bright smile, infectious laugh, and positive energy.

Georgia is survived by her loving husband, Jim; her daughter, Heather (Scott) Siebers; her son, James Weggenmann; and her beloved granddaughters, Anna and Ava Siebers. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Carol Murray; her niece, Lauren Murray (Kyle); her nephew, Larry Murray; her grandnephews, Lukas, Jack, and Tripp; along with many other close relatives and dear friends.

Georgia was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Noah Anderson; and her brothers, Les Murray, Louis Murray, and Larry Murray.
