Mr. Jerry Meyers passed away peacefully on January 11, 2026, in Chesterfield, MO, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and love. Jerry was born on November 29, 1935, In Pacific, MO. His father was Sylvester Meyers, and his mother was Judie Fryer. He had reached the age of 90. His nickname to the family was “POP”
Jerry worked as a carpenter for 45 years in the St. Louis area. He worked for RPA Construction as a foreman and carpenter for 25 years. Jerry served his country as a soldier in the US Army from 1956 - 1959. He held the rank of Specialist Four in the 370th Engineer company, APO 227. Based in Germany. Honorable discharge on 4-10-59.
Jerry was united in marriage to Hope Hannah in 1959 in Pacific , MO. They were married for 30 years and had a wonderful life together. Hope Meyers passed away in November 1989. Hope and Jerry had two children, Mark and Meg. Mark had three children: Andrew (wife Emily), Rob (wife Lainie), and Bill. Meg married Tom Brazill in St. Louis in 1986. Tom and Meg had a son: Dillon, in 1992.
Jerry married Shirley Mae (Barnhart) Meyers, in October 2003 in Villa Ridge, MO. They were married for 30 years. Jerry and Shirley shared a beautiful life together. Shirley had three children. Debra Anderson (husband William), Tony Douglas Haley (wife Pamela) , and Dwain Haley (wife Debra). Shirley passed away on January 10, 2023.
Jerry was a member of the Grand Lodge of Missouri AF & AM. Masonic Lodge in Gray Summit, MO. The Brotherhood of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons. Jerry was member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters & Joiners of America, in STL.
Preceded in death by his eleven brothers and sisters. Survived by his children: Mark & Meg. Survived by his 10 grandchildren: (Matthew, Pete, Stuart, Cameron, Taylor, Joseph, Dillon, Rob, Andy, Bill), and 18 great-grandchildren.
Jerry was a loyal Cardinal baseball fan. Pop was an avid KC Chiefs NFL football fan, and a Missouri Tiger fan. He loved to fish and to watch auto racing of all kinds.
Jerry was fine man. He had a heart of gold and a spirit that was entirely his own. He was exactly who he appeared to be, without pretense. He had a genuine nature and honesty he brought to his interactions. He loved his family and friends deeply. Pop was very approachable and he liked to laugh and have fun. Jerry will be missed by many relatives and a host of friends who loved him.

Visitation for Mr. Meyers is Saturday, January 24, 20206 from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM at Bell Funeral Home, Pacific, MO. A tribute, with military honors to Jerry’s life, will be at 12:00 Noon.
