JOAN P. MUELLER (nee Whissell), of Pacific, Missouri passed away February 9, 2004 in her 72nd year.  Joan was born October 22, 1932 in Saint Louis, Missouri to Richard F. and Esther (nee Kiess) Whissell.  Joan was married January 20, 1951 to Gene Mueller.  She was preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband, and one sister, Arlene Bender.

Mrs. Mueller is survived by five children, Gregg and wife Cheryl Mueller, Catawiss, Missouri, Cathy Mueller, Pacific, Missouri, Rick and wife Cristie, Mueller, Elliville, Missouri, Jan and husband Bill Brown, Pacific, Missouri, Tina and husband Sonny Bell, Pacific, Missouri; one sister, Virginia and husband Robert Uthoff, Osage Beach, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Krysta, Aimee, Tyler, and Nichole Mueller, Lindsay Hawkins, Jimmy and Jena Brown, and Andrea and Jessica Bell.

Joan loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.  Her greatest passion was cooking for her family and friends and she thoroughly enjoyed fishing and traveling.  Joan never missed a grandparent’s breakfast at school, a dance recital, softball, basketball, or baseball game, and loved having her hair done by her granddaughter.

Visitation for Mrs. Mueller is Sunday, February 22, 2004 from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. with a memorial service following the visitation at Bell Funeral Home, Pacific, Missouri.  Pastor Bob Leber is officiating.

The Mueller Family has requested memorials to the National Kidney Foundation.
