JOSEPH A. COWSERT, of Pacific, Missouri, passed away October 5, 1972 at the age of 28 years, and 2 days.  Mr. Cowsert was born October 3, 1944 in Elizabethtown, Illinois to Louis Roosevelt and Violet Nellie (nee West) Cowsert.  He was united in marriage to Janet F. Caldwell on June 8, 1968.  He was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth William Cowsert and Clark David Cowsert.

Mr. Cowsert is survived by his parents;  his wife Janet; two sons, James Arlie, and Christopher Louis; 6 brothers, Charles Cowsert of St. Clair, Missouri, James Cowsert, Eugene Cowsert, Freddie Cowsert, Karl Cowsert and Danny Ray Cowsert, all of Robertsville, Missouri; 5 sisters, Aldora Kopf, Wilda Beamon, Geraldine Burden, Edith Cowsert, and Tena Cowsert, all of Robertsville, Missouri.

Mr. Cowsert proudly served his country in the United States Army, and was employed by the Chrysler Corporation.

Visitation for Mr. Cowsert was Saturday, October 7, 1972 with military honors at 8:00 P.M.  Funeral services were held Sunday, October 8, 1972 at 3:00 P.M. at Assembly of God Church  - Gray Summit, with Reverend Lloyd Ward officiating.  Interment was in Brush Creek Cemetery, Villa Ridge, Missouri.
