LaVERNE S. BUCHER (nee Schoen), of Pacific, Missouri passed away March 9, 2024 at the age of 93 years, 5 months, and 8 days.  Mrs. Bucher was born October 1, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois to Lawrence Andrew and Bertha Viola (nee Kapfer) Schoen.  She was united in marriage to Harold Joseph Bucher on June 14, 1950 at Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran, Missouri.  Mrs. Bucher was preceded in death by her husband Harold; two sons, Vernon Bucher and Richard Bucher; and three brothers, Harold Schoen, Arnold Schoen, and Jerome Schoen.

Mrs. Bucher is survived by her children, Laura Ann Joy and husband Jerry, Mary Lou Bentch and husband Jim, Linda Sue Cahill and husband Charley, Harold Michael Bucher and wife Pam, Carol Ann McGee, Charles Bucher and wife Martha, Michael Bucher and wife Sharon, Alan Bucher, Karen Campbell and husband Pat, Ronald Bucher and wife Michelle, Lawrence Bucher and wife Tania, and Beverly Bucher; two sisters, Loretta Ross and Elvira Stone; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; numerous step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, and Step-great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and a host of friends.

LaVerne was a member of St. Bridget Catholic Church, enjoyed reading, traveling, crossword puzzles, baking/cooking, and gardening.

Visitation for Mrs. Bucher is Wednesday, March 20, 2024 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Bell Funeral Home, Pacific, Missouri.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Bridget Catholic Church, Pacific, Missouri with Reverend Alexander Nord officiating.  Interment is in St. Bridget Catholic Church Cemetery.
