LEONARD HAMPTON JONES,  of Robertsville, Missouri, passed away December 24, 2024 at the age of 89 years, 2 months and 24 days.  

Mr. Jones was born September 30, 1935 in his childhood home in Robertsville, Missouri to John Paul and Helen Ruth (nee Friedmann) Jones.  

Lenny married has childhood sweetheart, Barbara Anne Martin on March 4, 1954 at the Gray Summit United Methodist Church.

To this union was born Susan Elizabeth Jones McGee with husband William Edward McGee, Santa Fe, Missouri, Sharon Cay Jones Leslie with husband Danny Leslie of Perry, Missouri, Cynthia Lynn Jones Buck with husband Roger Buck of Santa Fe, Missouri, and Sandra Lee Jones Feller of Robertsville, Missouri.

Lenny was blessed with 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

He is survived by one brother, Arthur Jones and his wife Mildred of Robertsville, Missouri and Mary Sanderlin of Hermann, Missouri as well as many nieces and nephews, other relatives and close friends that meant a lot to him.

He is preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Barbara Anne, married for 65 years; his brother John Jones of Robertsville and Sister Ellen Willoughby of Robertsville, Missouri.

Lenny was born and raised on a farm in Robertsville, Missouri.  He was a farmer for many years and a school bus driver. We are still approached by people who remember him fondly.  He was the best school bus driver they ever
had.

Lenny absolutely loved hunting and fishing, especially putting out trout lines on the Meramec River.  He and his brothers had quite the reputation for catching big catfish.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Cedar Grove United Methodist Church, 8125 Highway O, Robertsville, Missouri.
