Mary Elizabeth (Blake) Quirk

MARY ELIZABETH QUIRK (nee Blake), of Catawissa, Missouri, passed away March 13, 2024 at the age of 70, years and 20 days.  Mrs. Quirk was born February 21, 1954 in Ironton, Missouri to Willard L. and Marie (nee Sutton) Blake.  She was united in marriage to James William Quirk Jr. on June 10, 2000.  She was preceded in death by father, Willard; her mother, Marie and husband Tony Piros.

In addition to her husband Jim, Mary is survived by her siblings, Gwen (Tim) Slabaugh, Ron (Karen) Blake, Bonnie (Warren) Lichius; nephews, Andy (Simone) Blake, Daniel (Natalie) Lichius, John Lichius; her aunt, Imogene Sutton; nieces, Amy (Chris) Cornell, Amanda, Elizabeth (Nelson); great-nieces, Ashley (Dylan) Kindred, Taylor (Nate) Coatney; great-great-neices, Kimber and Maggie; great-great-nephew Jamison; sister-in-law Joan (Bill) Trumper; other relatives and a host of friends.

Mrs. Quirk lived life without fear and with much joy in the Lord.  She was a loving caregiver providing medical services for patients as a LPN for 40 plus years.

Mary's departure from this world leaves a void in the hearts of her family, friends and all that were touched by her compassion and warmth.  Her memory will be kept alive in the stories and recollections of those who loved her.  She loved the Lord with all her being and was ready to go to her eternal rest in heaven with Jesus and those she loved that have gone on before her.

The Quirk family invites friends and loved one to join a traditional Celebration of Life which will be held in Mary's memory, Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at the Heart of Worship Community Church, located at 3054 Highway N, Catawissa, Missouri 63015.  This service will be a reflection of Mary's devout Christian faith and the love she shared with those around her.  Interment is in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, Jefferson Barracks, Missouri.

Bell Funeral Home, 709 W. Union Street, Pacific, Missouri is extending their professional care and guidance to the Quirk family during this period of bereavement.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Heart of Worship Community Church Building Fund in honor of Mary's dedication to her faith, or to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.

With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to Mary Quirk.  May she find peace in the presence of our Lord.
