Maxine Willoughby


Maxine Willoughby, 94, of Bartonville, IL, peacefully went home to be with her Lord on Friday, February 6th, 2026, in Creve Coeur, MO.  


Maxine was born on April 5th, 1931, in Robertsville, Missouri. Her parents, Samuel Urban and Iva Prichard, raised her and her siblings in Robertsville on a dairy farm. She later graduated from her local high school in Pacific, Missouri.  


She married Chester Willoughby on August 18, 1956, and they soon after relocated to the Peoria, Illinois area. She graduated from Bradley University and became a schoolteacher for several years. Maxine and Chester were devoted members of Woodland Baptist Church in Peoria, IL. Her many passions included camping, traveling, working jigsaw puzzles, and collecting Holstein memorabilia.  


Maxine is survived by her children, grandchildren, some of whom called her Mamoo, many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings, brothers and sisters-in-law, and son.  


There will be a private family burial at Shiloh Cemetery in Robertsville, MO.  


Memorials may be made to the family to help pay for funeral expenses.
