ROBERT WAYNE SHORT, of Pacific, Missouri, passed away June 5, 2025 at the age of 81 years, 3 months, and 12 days.  Mr. Short was born February 24, 1944 in Huntsville, Alabama to William Calvin and Mena Ester (nee Parvin) Short.  He was united in marriage to Brenda Kay Wood on March 25, 1965.  Mr. Short was preceded in death by his wife Brenda; and both his parents.

Bob is survived by his sons, Rob and wife Dana Short, and David and wife Niki Short;  five grandchildren, Shonna, Chelsee, Campbell, Ryan and Harley; three great-grandchildren, Jaxson, Sebastian and Seraphine;  nieces, nephews other relatives and a host of friends.

Mr. Short proudly served his country in the United States Army and the Army National Guard.  He joked that he joined the Army to see the world, but wound up in Pacific, Missouri.  He was employed by, and retired from the Chrysler Corporation after 37 years of service.  He was a member of UAW Local 136.  He was a founding member of the Optimist Club.  He enjoyed doing genealogy on his Alabama family, yard work, playing cards and spending time with his family.

Visitation for Mr. Short is Monday, June 16, 2025 from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Bell Funeral Home, Pacific, Missouri.  Funeral services are Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Reverend Harold Harrison officiating.  Interment with full military honors is in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, Jefferson Barracks, Missouri
