Robert "Bob" Bridges Death Notice

ROBERT EARL BRIDGES, of Villa Ridge, Missouri, passed away May 25, 2025 at the age of 82 years, 10 months and 28 days.  Mr. Bridges was born June 27, 1942 in Parma, Missouri to Frank and Florcie (nee Henson) Bridges.  He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lorraine Bridges, who passed away on July 16, 2022; his son Robert Bridges; Donald Neier and Virgil Sitton; his brothers, J.C. Wilburn, W.F. Bridges, Norman Bridges, and Gary "Archie" Bridges; his sisters, Joyce Bridges;  and numerous in-laws, Lanis and Alvie Callihan, Howard and Betty Conaway, Clyde and Sissy Conaway, Roman and Nancy Conaway, Orbie and Josie Wheeler, Ray and Sharon Schmidt, Charles Cook, James Schmidt, and Paul Tindall; he was also preceded in death by a special friend, Bert Stewart.

Robert is survived by his loving children, Robin Bridges, Kayla and Lee Peveto, John and Nancy Sitton, Donna and Chris Bay;  He was a proud grandfather to 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, and a special "Papa" to Micah, Kaylee, Paisley, Evelyn, Edawy, Hazel, and Reid;  his sister-in-laws, Corrine Tindall, Margie Cook, Barbara Christopher, and Jim and Ann Davis; as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Mr. Bridges was a sergeant in the army and held special medals on his expert on different rifles marksmanship ship.  He was never one to brag on himself. He was a loving husband and never got over losing her.  He loved his children and grandchildren as well as his great-grandchildren.  Bob also loved as he called them his babies, and that was his 9 puppies.  He would let them do anything, and if they had more, he would have probably kept them.  Robin had all the females spayed.  Robin moved in with Mom and Dad in 2014 after Mom was so ill.  She took care of both of them. She was there when Mom passed and when Dad passed.  She was who they leaned on. She took them to Texas and Kentucky for Tommy Bates revival.  Mom had said more than once that she put her life on hold to take care of them.  Robin never felt her life was on hold.  She went through a very painful divorce, and she would always say, “ I’m not getting married again.”  In her own words, they thought I was helping them, but they were here to help her get through her own pain she was going through.  Robin said she married the man God had chosen for her, but he went astray.  So she needed them as much as they needed her.
