THERESA BAEZ (nee Palleja), Pacific, Missouri , passed away November 30, 2023 at the age of 92 years, 2 months, and 29 days.  Mrs. Baez was born September 1, 1931 in New York City, New York to Manual and Carmen (nee Torres) Palleja.  She was united in marriage to Modesto Baez on November 11, 1949 in Catano, Puerto Rico.   She was preceded in death by both her parents;  her husband, Modesto; four  sisters, Rose Craft, Maria Echevarria, Esther Diaz, Carman LaSanta, and two brothers Robert Palleja, and Victor Palleja.

Mrs. Baez is survived by her children, Darien Baez, Pacific, Missouri, Deborah Baez, Pacific, Missouri and Dennis Baez Wentzville, Missouri; five grandchildren, Darien, Jason, Mara, Julian, Phillip, and Corrine; six great-grandchildren, Sophia, Nicholas, Brendon, Kamdan, Carlie, Brianna and Jordan; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Mrs. Baez enjoyed cooking, playing bingo, shopping with friends and relatives, being poolside with Florida friends, and traveling.

Visitation for Mrs. Baez is Tuesday, December 5, 2023 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Bell Funeral Home,  Pacific, Missouri.  A committal service will follow the visitation at 2:15 P.M. at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, Jefferson Barracks, Missouri with Rev. Dr. Jim Botnholdt officiating.
