With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Tracey Vaughan McDonald, who departed this world on April 6, 2026, at the age of 59. Born on May 29, 1966, in St. Louis, MO, Tracey was a man of warmth and humor, whose quick wit and inviting smile left a mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Tracey was the cherished son of Max and Phyllis (Jo) McDonald, who have since passed on. He is also preceded in death by his sister-in-law Jeanann.  He was deeply loved and is survived by his devoted friend, Jamie Gossnick; his brothers, Max (Leon) and Tony and wife Dee; nephew Ryan and wife Spring, great-niece Paisley; niece Casey; niece Katie and husband Matt, great-nieces Josie and Parker; many lifelong friends and family. They stood by him throughout his life and during his courageous battle with illness, which he faced with remarkable strength and dignity. 

Tracey could light up any room with his presence, making friends and family feel cherished and always entertained.

Throughout his life, Tracey was known for his boundless generosity and a heart that always had room for others. Whether through a well-timed joke or a supportive gesture, he had a unique ability to make those around him feel at ease and valued. His quick wit was matched only by his compassion, leaving behind a legacy of love and friendship that will be cherished by all who knew him.

In the face of his illness, Tracey showed remarkable courage, surrounded by family and loved ones who were a source of strength and comfort in his final days. His ability to remain positive and maintain his sense of humor, even during the toughest times, was a testament to his resilient spirit.

As we gather to celebrate Tracey's life, we remember a man whose spirit will forever remain in our hearts. His laughter will echo in our memories, and his kindness will continue to inspire us. Though he may no longer walk beside us, his essence will be felt in the stories we share and the love we extend to one another.

A service to honor and celebrate Tracey's life will be held at Bell Funeral Home…

Tracey McDonald will be dearly missed, but never forgotten. May his soul rest in peace, knowing he was truly loved.
