Tracy resided in Pacific throughout his childhood years and moved to St. Louis, where he completed his education. He was a volunteer firefighter/engineer for the Pacific Fire Protection District for many years. After graduation, he worked for a while as an emergency dispatcher, first for Pacific Police Department and then for Central County 911. But being an electrician was his true calling. He left this area and moved to North Carolina. After completing his education and training in the electrical trade he moved to Kentucky. Tracy, with his dad and others built his home. After a full career as and electrician he retired from the IBEW Local 816 to live in the home he built.
He loved to fish and perform magic tricks for young audiences. But later years he gave all that up to jump into a new hobby. After school and training, Tracy built a recording studio in his home. He purchased the mixing board that belonged to Aerosmith and The Carrs.
Many more investments in music related equipment allowed him to record many musical artists.
Tracy attended Salt and Life Church in Paducah, Kentucky. He was active in his church until his health didn't allow him to attend.
