VERNON H. BUCHER, 56, of Pacific, passed away December 13, 2007 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital following a long illness.  Mr. Bucher was born in Chaffee, Missouri on March 13, 1951 to Harold and LaVerne (nee Schoen) Bucher. His father preceded him in death.

In addition to his mother, Vernon is survived by 13 brothers and sisters: Laura and husband Jerry Joy, Jackson, MO; Mary Lou and husband Jim Bentch, Stoutland, MO; Linda and husband Charles Cahill, Union; Harold and wife Pam Bucher, Fenton; Carol McGee, Springfield, MO; Charles and wife Martha Bucher, Pacific; Michael and wife Sharon Bucher, St. Clair; Alan Bucher, Robertsville, Karen and husband Pat Campbell, Moberly, Ronald and wife Michelle Bucher, Union; Richard Bucher, Pacific; SrMsgt Lawrence Bucher, Ramstein, Germany; and Beverly Bucher, Pacific. He is also survived by 17 nieces and nephews and five great nieces and nephews.

Mr. Bucher lived in the Pacific area most of his life where he attended and graduated from Pacific Public Schools. He had operated Bucher and Sons Garage until his passing.

Visitation for Mr. Bucher is Friday, November 21, 2007 from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Bell Funeral Home. A 10:00 A.M. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday at St. Bridget Catholic Church. Interment is in St. Bridget Catholic Church Cemetery, Pacific.
