WALTER JAMES "JIM" FUNSTON JR, 64, Washington passed away on Monday October 26, 2009 at St. Johns Mercy Hospital in Creve Couer.

Mr. Funston was born September 28, 1945, in St. Louis, Missouri, the sone of Walter Funston Sr. and wife Elizabeth.

Mr. Funston is survived by his wife Betty; one daughter, Deborah LeClair and husband Randy; one son Sgt. First Class Timothy J. Funston and wife Angel; one step daughter, Pamela Lylera and husband Kenneth, one brother Mark and wife Bonnie Funston; one sister, Kathy Wise and husband Gary. Loving grandfather to Alex and Madison LeClaire; Zachary Funston, and Jessica, Jacob and Joshua Lyerla; Tiffany Price, and many relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Bill Funston.

Mr. Funston served in the United States Marine Corp from 1963 to 1967 and served in the Vietnam War. He was a member of Ironworkers Local 396. He was also a member of American Legion Post 266 in Washington.

Visitation for Mr. Funston are Wednesday October 28, 2009 from 4 P.M. to 9 P.M. at Bell Funeral Home, Pacific. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday October 29, 2009 at 11 A.M. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Pacific.

Pall Bearers were: Bill Funston, Brian Funston, Jeff Funston, Kevin Funston, Randy LeClair and Ken Lyerla.

The family was serve by Bell Funeral Home, Pacific, Missouri.
